AIR POLLUTION FROM VEHICLES EMMISSION; PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS A CASE STUDY OF HADEJIA METROPOLIS JIGAWA STATE NIGERIA

This paper look into the sources and problems of air pollution resulted from emission of our vehicles to an environment and also the potential risk on human health. People nowadays do more harm to the environment and also to themselves knowingly or unknowingly as a result of their activities. This paper pointed out the sources, composition, effects as well as the control measures of air pollution. The research collect data via an instrumental questionnaire in some selected six (6) wards out of eleven (11) wards of Hadejia Local government area, resided along the main highway. Some recommendations were proffered on how to curtail the emission to maintain a healthy environment.
