This policy explains how SJARD, published by Binyaminu Usman Polytechnic, Hadejia, handles personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, title, email address, affiliation, country and, optionally, ORCID iD and areas of expertise.
- Submission information: manuscripts, author lists and contact details, evidence of payment, declarations and correspondence.
- Review information: reviewer reports, recommendations and correspondence.
- Usage information: anonymous article view and download counts.
How we use it
Data is used only to operate the journal: to process and review submissions, communicate with authors and reviewers, publish articles and their metadata, and produce aggregate statistics. Author names and affiliations of published articles are made public as part of the scholarly record and may be shared with indexing services.
Confidentiality of peer review
SJARD operates blind peer review: reviewers’ identities are not disclosed to authors, and the online system withholds authors’ identities from reviewers.
Your rights
You may view and update your profile at any time from your dashboard, and you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting the editorial office. Information that forms part of the published scholarly record cannot be removed.
