The Semi-Arid Journal of Academic Research and Development (SJARD) is a multidisciplinary research platform established to give researchers an ideal opportunity to advance their respective fields of professional practice. The journal is designed to focus attention on multidisciplinary issues, publishing thoughtful research with precision and bridging the gap between perception and inception.
SJARD is published biannually, in June and December, in print and online, by Binyaminu Usman Polytechnic, Hadejia, Jigawa State, with support from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund).
Focus and scope
SJARD is multidisciplinary, covering all-encompassing research domains, including:
- Agriculture and Environment — agronomy, plant science, crop protection, animal science, agricultural economics and extension, climate change and farm mechanisation, forestry, wildlife, environment, remote sensing and geographical information systems.
- Physical and Mathematical Sciences — chemistry, physics, mathematics and statistics, geophysics, computer and information technology.
- Biological Sciences — biochemistry, biology, genetics, fisheries and related branches.
- Arts and Social Sciences — English language, economics, business administration, accounting and public administration.
- Technology — electrical, mechanical, civil, computer, agricultural and geomatics engineering and related branches.
